Fantian Temple is located in the south of the Dalun Mountain. It is one of the oldest Buddha Temples in Fujian Province. The temple was built in 581 of Sui Dynasty, and originally named "Xingjiao Temple". It was renamed as "Fatian (brahma) Temple" in 1069 of Song Dynasty. It was damaged many times in the past, and the latest repair was in 1997.

The temple covers over 3,600 square meters, and rises along the mountain. In the temple, the oldest building is Brahman Tower. The 4.68 meter high tower was built in the Song Dynasty, which is a precious building for studying of ancient religions and the art of stone carving. It is a three-storied quadrate solid tower and is made of stones. Chu His, a famous philosopher in the Song Dynasty was inscribed in the tower.

How to get there: you can take bus 610 and 617 from the train station, or take bus 625 and 56 from the ferry terminal. The buses will take you about an hour.
