Xiamen University is well known as the most beautiful campus among all the universities in China. It was founded in 1921 by Tan Kah Kee, the well-known patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It was the first university in China founded by an overseas Chinese. The university is located at the foot of mountains, and connected with Nanputuo Temple and Hulishan Battery. It is facing the blue ocean and surrounded by Xiamen bay. The main campus is picturesque with beautiful scenery and parks. Most of the old buildings were very pretty and unique which combined both Chinese and western styles. There are also two great museums in the university, which are Anthropology Museum and Luxun Museum, who is the one of most famous writer in China.
