The Museum of Wuchang Uprising of 1911 Revolution, located in Yuemachang in Wuchang City with an area of 18 thousand square meters. This event is one of the biggest events shaping modern China, making it a must-see for anyone interested in historical travel. The Revolunary Army was officially here, and inside the Red Chamber (the main building) they issued the edict to bring down the Qing Dynasty. In the outside Uprising Plaza, stands a statue of Sun Yat-Sen.
It was built in 1910 with 11 rooms totally. The museum has two exhibition halls: Restored Government Site of Wuchang Uprising Troops and Revolutionary Relics of Wuchang Uprising. It is famous for quite a few maps, paintings, weapons and a piece of Marshal's order issued by Sun Yat-sen. The museum exhibits precious historical date on 1911 Revolution to enhance knowledge of Wuhan鈥檚 as well as China's history.
Because of the colour, the museum has another name Red Mansion.
Admission: free, they distribute 35 tickets per 30 minutes
Opening hours: 9am to 5pm visitors are not allowed to enter after 4pm. It opens everyday except Monday.

October 10th in every year is the memorial day, they will have some commemorative activities in there.
